- What is Brazilian Keratin Straightening?

Definition:

Brazilian Keratin Straightening is a hair treatment created in Brazil. This treatment technique will guarantee you smooth, soft and supple hair for a period of 3 to 6 months.

Brazilian straightening is made up largely of keratin fibers, a natural protein 95% present in our hair. Mainly used in cosmetology to strengthen the hair structure and stimulate growth. It allows the scales of the hair to be reattached by acting as a protective film, which coats and sheaths the hair. Keratin also helps to waterproof the hair and make it more resistant and stronger.

Since keratin straightening is by no means permanent straightening, after the past 6 months, you will therefore regain the nature of your hair.

Who is this smoothing intended for?

Brazilian straightening works perfectly on all hair types: bleached, colored, permed, relaxed, curly, damaged and already straightened.

However, it is important to space a few days between the different techniques.

We will talk about it in detail in future articles ...

What do we do next?

It is essential to respect a few rules to make keratin straightening last ...

First of all, to maintain the shine and softness of the hair, avoid washing it during the (2-3 days) following the treatment and straighten your hair to fix the product.

Then, for the duration of the smoothing (3-6 months) it is important to use a shampoo and a mask based on keratin and free of sulfates and silicones . The absence of these ingredients will allow the smoothing to last longer.
